I don't know..1989 and ESPECIALLY 79 were good examples.

The 1979 team was 5 and 6 at one point, considered dead and then wound up lead the mighty Steel Curtain in the 4th qtr of SB 14. 1989...The Rams lost FIVE in a row that season and HAD to win about 5 of their last six to get in. Last two were MUST wins....one on the extreme East Coast (New England) when everyone said the Rams would not/ could not win in cold weather. That just gave them the right to go back to the East coast two more times to play in cold weather cities (Philly/ NYG) vs two VERY VERY tough defenses........THEN we faced the most dominate Niners team ever. And I'd bet my house that if Lott does not make a great play on a sure TD to Flipper, Rams go up 10 to 0 and WIN that day.
