It isn't about secrets as much as it's about loyalty. Weddle seems to still be loyal to "his" guys...who are still in Baltimore. What about the guys he's playing with now? They don't deserve EVERYTHING he's got to help the team win? Publicly proclaiming that his relationships with Ravens players is more of priority for him doesn't endear him to me as a Rams fan.
Maybe he is being honorable and ethical. I can support that but not in how he is expressing it. All he had to say when asked if he would give away "secrets" about the Ravens if/when he faced them is that he will do everything possible to help the Rams win. If giving away "secrets" is beyond his moral code then that part of it wouldn't be "possible".
But he seems to be going out of his way to protect and side with his old Ravens buddies which seems odd. He is probably still friends with a lot of the individual players but "the Ravens" replaced him. Thought he was too old, too slow, too expensive...whatever. Wasn't "worth" bringing back. If he was so loyal to them, why not take a pay cut and stay with them?
No, he isn't some beacon of morality with a code worth protecting. He's publicizing his supposed superior moral code and he took the BBD from the Rams instead of being truly loyal to the Ravens. He's just as selfish as anyone else, which is fine. But he's trying to make it look like he's better than others and that's NOT fine.
