I'm choosing to believe he is learning and growing through this, even though it's clear the light switch hasn't come on yet. I love the guy, but he has clearly hit a wall this season..... and has not adjusted quickly.
Your example of the 9ers OL woes....and look at the Seahawks the past three seasons, the Packers last year and others......really shine a light on a problem with McVay. There is no excuse for this situation with the OL....and the Ramsey trade just makes it look worse! If you're well aware the OL is in bad shape that it's changing your play calling, why are you trading away 1st round draft picks for a CB??? You could keep Talib and Peters, groom Long and D. Williams, let the vets walks and KEEP THOSE PICKS FOR OL!!!!
I also hate to say it, but the country club comment stung too......I've often wondered about practices when I'm seeing loud, thumping music being pumped out. However, Talib said this week that Sean commands a room and the players truly listen to him.....so, it makes you wonder.
Overall, the season is truly over with one more loss, so basically, it's likely over. Let's start seeing some adjustments for next season. Get the young guys some time. Put Rapp at FS and let Long play that rover role.
