I think that it’s time to face a few painful realities.

At least 3 popular Ram players are no longer in the Rams’ long term plans, maybe 5.

Todd Gurley. As soon as he can affordably be traded/released he will be a cap casualty. He’s clearly no longer elite physically.

Big Whit. He won’t be extended unless he agrees to something in the $5-6 million range, and probably not even then. Father Time is nipping at his heels.

Brandin Cooks. His concussions will be his downfall. And even without them his salary would have been a deal breaker. As soon as he can be affordably traded/released, he’s a goner.

Cory Littleton. Only because of his new salary. Outstanding playmaker that everybody loves, but the cap is a mutha.

Dante Fowler. Again, because of the cap and Ram needs to extend others.

One of Littleton or Fowler MAY be kept if Demoff can work his magic, but I don’t see both staying. Heck, both might be allowed to walk depending on how Wade feels about his depth at their respective positions.

Sometimes I just HATE this cap straitjacket.
