Well, I’ve actually seen this posited by others, but maybe Hav’s play has been negatively impacted by sub-par play at RG this year by Blythe and a little bit of Demby?
IOW, stronger RG play would relieve Hav of some responsibilities and distractions. It’s at least a logical theory.
Similarly, having first year starters at LG and C simultaneously coupled with weak play at RG was and is a hard way to develop cohesion quickly. Having newbies at LG can’t be helpful for Big Whit, either.
Lots of moving parts on an OL and everything affects everything else all the time.
They ALL declined and you can't blame that on any one player.
A good OL can scheme around a weak member.
They did not cohere as a group and it showed. After 2 years of very strong continuity, they were all playing next to unfamiliar guys AND never had any real live time AS A UNIT together until the season started.
Whitworth on Cowherd says this is all due to a lack of continuity.
And besides, this is not the first time Hav did not come through. He didn't against tough DLs in 2018, either.
