Snead isn’t telling the whole story. Why would he? It would be very damaging.
Gurley isn’t the same guy he was 2 years ago. And won’t be again.
The Rams are trying to milk him for another year or two at most.
Gurley is the most overpriced RB in the NFL. In retrospect, it was a bad and unnecessary extension. What’s most troubling is that they have a history of bad extensions. Will they ever learn? I doubt it.
Hind sight is always 20/20 and undefeated...
At the time It was not a bad extension, Gurley was by far the best non QB offensive player in the league and got much less than what some of these WR's were getting that didn't do half of what Gurley was doing....unfortunately he took a shot to the knee in the Eagles game and hasn't been the same since. Rams did the right thing by making Gurley the highest paid RB in the NFL he was by far the best RB in NFL when they did... the Rams realize he was being overworked and are just trying to preserve him as best they can. I don't really see the problem with it. He looked good vs Carolina when we needed him to close out the game, had good runs in all the other games also, he's just not getting the touches. If he is healthy this week, I bet we see much more of him like we did in the Seattle game.
