The thing you miss is that had the Rams played better defense vs Tampa and Seattle, we'd probably 5-1 right now, even with the o-line struggles.... They had over 1000 yards in offense and 69 points in those two games with nothing to show for it.
The o-line did struggle and it does need fixin, but I just don't see how two late first round picks in 2020 and 2021 are better than the best corner in the NFL. Especially knowing Talib is at the end of his career and that position needed to be addressed ... The didn't just address it, they pretty much locked in the best player at that position.
A better defense will do wonders for a struggling offense. It is also going to help playing teams like the Falcons, Bengals and Ravens in the next three games that don't have anywhere near the d-line the Niners have.
Sometimes, you gotta swing for the fence...... This season is far from over
