We can't let him get to the end of next season or he's a free agent because no frickin' way will he play under the franchise tag.
Howard is earning $17m per season and Ramsey is going to want significantly more than that. $20m would be my guess.
That will mean in him, Donald, Goff and Gurley we have the highest or in the top 3 highest paid players in 4 different positions in the entire league.
And we're going to have to pay what he wants because otherwise, he walks for nothing.
And what if he doesn't want to sign?
He knows the cap is going to probably shoot up and may well say,

As I said in another thread, if they have a verbal agreement and get him signed, then ok. Otherwise, this could really blow up in our face.
