McVay may be like Martz as he lets the defensive coordinator do his thing and he runs a high powered offense. The big difference I see is that Martz was a total flop in making personnel decisions while McVay and Snead work hand in hand in developing talent across the roster. McVay has long term stability while Martz had an ego problem with the front office though the front office during Martz time was filled with butt heads.
So I would say that McVay is like the best parts of Martz without the glaring faults Martz had.
