Never mind that they picked him up to begin with in the face of credible allegations of horrific behavior. They released him because of the PR damage the latest very credible allegations against AB would do if they didn't. AND because they don't need him.
I don't see much to admire there.
I don't believe this is accurate.
Kraft has said that if they knew about the sexual allegations they never would have signed him. If you recall that stuff came out about a day or two after he signed.
I also don't think they're releasing him b/c of PR damage. They've made many moves in the face of bad PR. I think they realize he's an idiot and they don't want the distraction after he didn't have the good sense to keep quiet and not threaten the women by text.
The latest bit (harassing texts to another accuser) was just too much. This wasn't even a case that needed to be investigated. The texts were public.
They had no choice, there was no way they could keep him under these circumstances.
It's one thing for the pending investigation regarding assault. It's another when he publically harasses a different accuser, which btw also violates league rules (a player can't engage in harassing or threatening behavior).
