I know we have the "trust the coaches" thing and I agree, we should. Obviously coaches are not infallible though since they seem to get fired fairly frequently. But I do have one thought about the matter.
They watch tape too. They should see exactly what you have described and if so, I cannot imagine the coach watching it to do the old Martz thing: "Shoot we can fix that". I would expect them to do a slow burn, bring Demby in and break it down, every move, step, block and miss in detail over and over again. Train, educate and motivate. Then tell him to improve right now or he will find himself doing less somewhere else.
I would work his butt off in practice this week and give him one more game against a good Browns DL while leaning hard on him after every series with pointers and praise. You are right, the stakes are too high to mail this one in. I know one of the things I will be watching for on Sunday night!
