All offseason the reports and talk were that Gurley was likely to go from ~23 touches/game to 17-18. From 85+% of the snaps at RB to 70%. And that's what he's getting.
So far he's not getting much in the passing game (4 catches for 8 yards) so maybe that's the perception of his lesser production. I think he's running the ball fine (and against two good front sevens so far). My guess is there will be games ahead where he gets 22, 24 carries but they will be few and far between. Most games will be in the 14-18 carries range.
And I think it would be great to have a 1,200-yard RB in Gurley and 700+ yards guy in Brown.
