well the guy you pegged as not adding much has 2 sacks in 2 games. moreover the team as a whole is 2-0 and scored 60 points against allegedly pretty good teams while not really hitting on all cylinders just yet. so im not really seeing your skepticism. what the patriots do is irrelevant to "a wild card birth and early exit', if they happen to play them it will be in the superbowl. u also want to keep in mind that the pats played the steelers who dont look that good and the dolphins who are horrible so u may not want to crown them after 2 games.

Maybe I'm still dealing with some pain from the SB loss, but I don't see a marked improvement from the team thus far. They've added Weddle and Matthews, but I don't think Matthews is going to add much. On top of that, the rest of the division looks improved, and I think we'll probably split games with at least two of them. The biggest kicker, is the Patriots seem to be miles better than last year and I wouldn't be surprised if they go undefeated. They're just way ahead of everybody else, and only a scandal could sidetrack them. So, am I alone, or does anybody else feel like we're playing for a wild-card birth and early exit this year? It's just a feeling I can't shake.
