Nobody here (to my recollection) has tried to put Goff in the HOF.
Nobody here (to my recollection) has tried to put Goff in the same class as a Tom Brady or Aaron Rogers or Peyton Manning.
What Goff is, is a very good young (24 years old) QB with a strong arm, good accuracy, is a student of the game, has a great demeanor, and is coachable. He stays healthy (knock on wood).
Obviously he is good enough to lead his team to the Superbowl. Good enough to win it? Maybe.
To my thinking, the inconsistent Goff we saw against Carolina was a few things: 1) Rust. 2) On the road against a good D. 3) Rams are a target because they are media darlings and because they won the NFC, so they're going to see top effort against every team they play 4) The heat and humidity were debilitating.
We are fortunate to have this young man, and I don't think he has anything more to prove. Certainly he's not a one year wonder.
