How about Jalen Ramsey?
I may like the Ramsey option less. His contract ends after 2020 and he will cost $13M next year. If the goal is to switch him in for Peters after this year that's fine but we wouldn't be saving much money if any. And he comes with the same immaturity issues.
He doesn't really help us this year because the secondary is our greatest strength at the moment.
The other consideration is, it's a good idea to reserve trade assets for a player at a position of need. What if Brockers gets hurt or a good vet Dlinemen comes available? That's a position that could use some bolstering.
If they use those valuable assets for a player that essentially only helps the future, they may be in a tough spot if they need to make a trade for competing this year. This is especially true for a SB team. This year is the focus. There is a reason why Snead has never traded for a player at a position that wasn't a weakness
at that moment. So if the price was absurdly low like a 5th, then sure, let's do it. But it won't be that low.
