He wouldn't be sitting at 2 on the safety chart. So I suppose it's possible the Rams loved him coming out and feel like he is being misused, but I doubt it.
If somehow the Dolphins are willing to move a first round pick from a year ago while only recouping a mid-rounder? Then yeah, I suppose it's possible. But that is where him (and his mother apparently) complaining about his usage also factors in. I think he's working against himself doing that.
