As we say in the South: One aw-sh** wipes out a hundred atta-boys.
It doesn't take a lot to destroy an otherwise good reputation; and it's nearly impossible to overcome a bad one.
I take the word of OJB with about a pound of salt. He's hardly Sainthood material. However, I can't entirely dismiss it because G. Williams doesn't have a good reputation.
What's the truth? Hard to know. It would be hard to fathom that after his steep fall from grace, in an era when safety of the players is a huge concern, that he'd be right back telling his defensive locker room to hurt opponents. If it was proved true, I imagine he'd receive a permanent, lifetime ban from the NFL..... if nothing else, just for the optics of it.
You can bet that, just as in all walks of life, Williams has his admirers and his detractors among NFL players. Clearly OJB is not an admirer.
But if he really is doing what OJB alleges, it'll come out. The NFL is currently just too sensitive to such matters to let it go and not act.
