Whenever goff hits the top of his drop...his stick foot-right leg plants at the end of his initial drop....
IF the ball does not come out then...that's when bad things happen.
He has to move off his point...step up or sideways...it'll be a 50/50 proposition.
IF...the ball comes out when he sticks that foot at the end of his drop....the ball will be a completion. Period. I think this is true 80% of the time.
It's when the play breaks down that Goff is very very uncoordinated and goonie in his movements which can lead to just bizarre plays that are usually bad for us.
IE...when Goff was flushed out of the pocket and kinda wandered towards the sideline and DIDN'T just throw it away...but held the ball for some reason while a Panther collided into him. I get Goff is looking down field...but he's got to be MORE decisive and either run or throw it away once out of the pocket. McVay has got to instill this into Goff's game as Goff will be fine and do what I said above correctly...then another game he's reverting again and looking confused while ambling towards the sideline - not knowing what to do...throw it? run it? throw it away? duh...........
That just kills me.
Goff is NOT mobile - at all - exactly like KWarner wasn't!!!
Now, the great news is that Goff is KWarner but better...and we CAN win the SB with him or any game...but Goff's gotta play his game and not get too cute..cuz he's not the athlete to do that. However, if Goff just plays within the play and checks down or throws it away right away...we will win the game more times than not. imo Goff has stinkers every now & then...he's got a great demeanor and it never gets to him...he can just come out firing and CAN make stellar throws..Goff was just off yesterday...he'll tighten up this week or next....Same with AD...who had 1 tackle. They all just need a bit of time to get started and zeroed in....the great thing is the Panther game shoulda been a loss for us...it's great to play a really poor game and still win!!!!
