I think the narrative in the media of the Rams sacrificing depth in the face of contracts for Gurley, Cooks, Donald, etc. just isn't there. At least not now. There are areas of concern for sure (OL) and we can wring our hands about things like the 3rd TE, but not a lot of teams have:
- a backup QB with 73 NFL starts
- 4 genuine options each at RB and WR
- 10 LBs that could make the 53 and PS
- 10th-12th DBs that could get claimed by other teams when released
