I think they're going to have a decent number of snaps per game where the only LBs are Littleton and Matthews (passing situations), with Fowler on the edge, etc.
I recall reading where the Rams have also gone with just two true DL and
five LB (shades of the old Fritz Shurmur late '80s Eagle defense they played...). Maybe Matthews, Ebukam, Littleton, Allen, Durham/Patrick? Or Fowler/Fox in there standing up off the edge? Who knows.
As Rapp emerges he will be utilized in the box as well. Lots of options. The reality is Kiser/Hager/whoever in that ILB role is meant to play about 25 snaps per game in running situations. Something to sort out and honestly I hope someone besides Hager emerges and takes the job...
