Probably so. I didn't see the game. But it's just not shocking at all to see mid-round guys not shine in their first ever game. I will bet both progress in the weeks ahead because with starters sitting they're likely going to play 40-50 snaps every week.
Edwards actually got pretty good reviews from veteran OL watcher types.
In terms of evaluating the depth now...I would not go so far as to say none of it is ready.
During the pre-season they are all taking the field with 4 other inexperienced guys, while also switching around to different positions. No amateur OL watching eye will ever see anything of any value under those conditions. That however does not mean there is nothing of value.
If any one of these guys (Demby, Edwards, Evans) subs during the season, it will be under
these conditions: -->
* they will be playing with 4 other established vets. Better cohesion.
* they will be focussed on the one position they are assigned to.
* they will have benefitted from the experience of getting extra reps during the pre-season with the starters out.
