Cases have already been thrown out.
This one though is about how the NFL responded internally to the non-call issue, and whether their internal actions and responses fit what they said.
There's nothing to get particularly worried about with that. The only effect if he won his case would be that the NFL would be exposed as having internally reviewed it as a bad call but then there were no repercussions with how officials were evaluated.
People objecting to this are imagining something far different from what is actually happening.
A lot of people are being knee-jerk without slowing down and thinking about what is actually happening with this case.
