if a guy is one foot inside the numbers, he's inside the numbers.
I watch the Patriots...I watch the Rams.
You cannot say the Rams attack the middle of the field in any manner close to the Patriots.
No way...no how.
The Rams middle of the field attack is one yard inside the numbers. That's not what I'm talking about. How many times did we run patterns downfield that were in line with the posts? How many routes did we see run down the seam? I saw a few with Woods...a couple with Cooks. We ran some slants...but that isn't downfield.
Stats lie. I watched this aspect of the Rams game all season long...specifically...just like I did the red zone. If you were on the board during the games, you would know very well that I criticized the Rams for not using the middle of the field and
specifically stated that when they run routes inside the numbers, the routes were
just inside the numbers. How about inside the hashes?
BTW, I was criticized for critiquing our red zone play...yet...at the end of the season...it's pretty unanimous that we need to improve the red zone. Too many people here were worrying about things out of our control...like Sammy Watkins vs. Brandin Cooks game by game results.
