Matthews would probably have to play otherwise and that would take away from his forte outside rushing the passer.
Smarter move would be adding a vet in middle a co starting level player ,, that can rotate in minutes and has a 5-8 yr NFL resume .
Add that guy from waivers after the the last cut to 53.
Maybe even from one of the teams they meet in preseason as a really fresh look.

Kiser is kind of a Wade hand-picked guy the way Allen and Noteboom are Kromer guys.
He has a lot to prove obviously but I don't have the doubts about him you seem to have. I think he could very well be very good at his role (2-down run stopper and he can blitz too).
