It's that simple. You cannot pay a mediocre QB, top QB type money and have enough left over to keep enough quality players around him. Rams should not pay him before they have to. At that point, determine what he is worth, and how to proceed.

It's not "hate", it;s just disagreement.
2 things.
One is that teams pay top dollar for qbs all the time and thrive. The "cap killing qb" thing is kind of a myth.
Two is, when the Rams pay Goff--and it is far more than likely that they will--it will be because they do not regard him as a mediocre qb. And on that I agree with them.
