"Yes, he was banged up throughout the season. He got hurt in Week 1, played through it the rest of the season," Jones-Drew said. "He got banged up in Week 1, he played through it, and he kind of just got worn down toward the end of the season."
We don't know what Gurley told MJD but what MJD says isn't a mysterious riddle that needs dissecting and interpreting. As I already said, this could be just as much spin as what the Rams have already released up until now. But flat out proclaiming that MJD is wrong and misunderstands is the problem. That implies that YOU know better.
It's fine to guess or try and connect the dots but you're not doing that. The choices aren't limited to what you've come up with either. MJD doesn't have to be wrong or misinformed, he could just as easily be trying to paint a positive picture for the future. A banged up knee that hampered him and wore down over the course of the year sounds more appealing than a chronic condition that has to be managed. Which doesn't automatically equate to the Rams "lying" about what happened to Gurley last year.
Why would you think you "know" what's really going on because of some press releases? Or that your guesswork is more reliable that MJD speaking directly with Gurley about it?
