Based on his knee flaring up the first game of the season. And then not doing much with the Cards the following week. But then he got into a groove. And he got a lot of work after that. I’d be interested in the thought process there.
Regardless, based on what Gurley has said, it seems that we can expect more of the same from last season... aka awesome... but he might not be able to go every game. I think the drop off isn’t too far with Brown. If Henderson can be effective then Gurley missing a game here and there might not be too bad.
My hope is they don’t run the hell out of him even if he is feeling good. It might not make a difference either way. His knee might flare up at any time. It still seems like the Rams can spread the ball around and not have Gurley be the center of the offense. But it IS what made the passing game go... so it’s going to be interesting to see what McVay comes up with. Or maybe he will just give Brown a few more carries along with Henderson.
The Rams have a solid back up plan at RB IMO. I’m not too worried about it. I’m probably more concerned about Kupp rushing back to the line up.
