Otherwise nobody would talk about this clown.... it worked as we are talking about the clown right now
Move along
Sorry, but, talking about Jared Goff--positively or negatively--is just not going to make someone relevant. Or irrelevant. At this point Goff is just another one of the 32 starting qbs. Writers who crave attention will talk about other players, not Goff.
Florio IMO is wrong, but he's not insincere. Bashing the character of the messenger in this case is all just kind of beside the point.
Goff has to prove them wrong. Until that happens, people will say things.
Whether Florio is insincere or not doesn't preclude him from wanting attention.
He could be sincere and want attention or he could be insincere and want attention.
And I reject your claim that "Writers who crave attention will talk about other players, not Goff"
They will talk about anybody to get attention. And Goff does play in the LA market, so he will get talked about more than say a QB in Nashville.
I think its naive to think Florio isn't seeking attention. The more people talk about what he says the more clicks he gets the more money he makes. Believe or not, there are people who seek attention to make money.
Still, these are just opinions of writers. They don't have any more value than mine or yours.
The bigger question is what do all these negative opinions reflect. Simply that Goff had some poor games toward the end of the season and also in the SB. Recency bias is a huge factor in these opinions. He played extremely well in the NFC Champ game, but that got overshadowed by the penalty fiasco. So its logical to expect negative opinions at this point in the year.
This stuff is mostly noise in May. When the season starts and Goff looks great everyone will forget what was said in May.
