Dan Patrick Show@dpshowInteresting note from @ProFootballTalk's Mike Florio: "I'm very skeptical about Jared Goff. I would not be surprised if he doesn't get a second contract with the Rams."

I'm not going to call Florio a "Buffoon" for making a click bait comment like this. Though his reputation and history kind of carry the shock jock credentials etc..
He might truly believe what he said, or he's simply just stirring the pot knowing several of the the NFL media hard core critics share is opinion. He's not alone in this opinion so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt that he believes what he said.
The truth is, there are more than a few NFL media pundits still hung up on Goff's performance over the last 7 games from the 2018 season.
Regardless of what the narratives are by the NFL media that still need more evidence before they push their chips in the middle of the table.
All of us Rams fans know that JG needs to perform better in the last 7 games of the 2019 season or he will deserve to get blasted. His only excuse will be if there are tons injuries on the offense side of the ball especially on the O-Line and he blasted like he was in 2016.
I can respect their view and to be honest, if Jared takes a spiral dive in his 3rd year under McVay, there is going to be a media frenzy of I told you so... And to be honest, they will deserve their applaud for being correct and armchair QB's like myself will simply salute them for being right.
Goff is going to be one of the top 3 to 5 QB's under the microscope for the 2019 season. No big surprise when you add up his stats over the
7 games of 2019 and his postseason statistics.
Those stats are not to be ignored and there were some head scratching moments regardless of the the O-Line protection (missing Cooper Kupp) and what ever other excuses we want to make.
I have my own personal perception of his value and I would lock him up with a mega contract extension before the 2019 season begins.
I could be wrong and he's never going to reach the ceiling I guessed he would during the draft scouting process.
The Goff controversy is still alive and kicking and as one of his biggest fans, the pressure is on him this season to finish a lot stronger than he did in 2019.
