Rampage2K-
In one breath you say you're here to win, yet in the other you're saying I'm not gonna give everything I can to win????
All he had to say is "I'm a Ram now, so I'm gonna do what ever I can to help the Rams win" that would have sounded so much better than what he did say.
Those are not the only 2 choices or ways to put it though.
I am here to win.
But just in terms of the Ravens game, I also prize loyalty.
Just 2 value systems in conflict. But the stakes are so small (one game) that it's difficult for me personally to make much of a mountain out of this particular molehill.
Besides, Weddle is probably well aware that McVay and WP do not need his input to win.
Plus of course he still knows stuff and can act on it personally on the field. In addition to that, he probably has a lot of info on the Steelers, Browns, and Bengals too (even with new coaches in Cinn. & Clev.) and I bet he shares that without hesitation.
I think this whole thing is no big deal. My only question is why Benoit thought that was worth writing about. That whole article was weird. It was about his personal dynamic with Weddle. Well, I for one don't care about Benoit's personal dynamic with Weddle.
