jemach is responding to a known Goff "guy". Someone who wanted Goff from the beginning and to this day bristles when people say anything critical about him
so there are people who have biases built in for some players
for Goff and back in the day for Bradford too... and Bulger and so on
I believe that Goff's second half was so bad that he has opened the door for more questions
Just who is Jared Goff?
At the same time I am completely capable of acknowledging that Ram43 could be right... that he could continue to grow and mature just as he has done previously
We will see... I had a ton more confidence in him last year maturing that I do this year
The guy loses Kupp and a healthy Gurley and all of the sudden is one of the worst ranked QBs in all of football through the last 8 games. That makes you question things a bit for sure... or me anyhow.
What it says to me is he is waaay too reliant on the pieces around him
That is simply just not true about being the worst ranked QB in the last 8 games....he had a horrible game against the Bears and struggled vs Detroit...other than that is wasn't not as bad as people make it out to be, even the Eagles loss he wasn't horrible and damn near pulled off the comeback....
Go back and watch the last 8 games again.... including the playoffs.
This is and always will be the ultimate team sport plain and simple....the QB will always get too much credit and too much blame
Those same biases seem to go both ways, Speed..... some people wanted the other QB and seem to want to try and pick apart Goff at any chance.
I myself went back and forth so many times before the draft that I didn't really care who we took....I was gonna ride or die with who ever they picked and right now I'm glad the picked Goff!
You simply don't go to Pro Bowls, NFC Championships, Super Bowls by sucking.....at the end of the day he's the winningest starting QB in the NFL since 2017 and that's all that matters.
