With Cooper Kupp returning, what will Josh Reynolds' role be in 2019?

With Cooper Kupp returning, what will Josh Reynolds' role be in 2019?

Wide receiver depth played a huge role in the Rams’ success last season. Cooper Kupp missed eight games with a knee injury, and while replacing his production was always going to be difficult, Josh Reynolds did an exceptional job filling in.

The second-year wideout was elevated to a starting role when Kupp went down, finishing the season with 29 catches for 402 yards and five touchdowns. Those obviously aren’t huge numbers, but extrapolate them over a 16-start season and they look much better (58 catches, 804 yards, 10 touchdowns).

With Kupp set to return, what does it mean for Reynolds? Obviously, Kupp is going to be a starter when healthy, lining up alongside Brandin Cooks and Robert Woods. That means Reynolds will once again be No. 4 on the depth chart, but his playing time could be significantly less than most No. 4 receivers in the league.
