There's no point to adding more stars by using high draft picks.
Load up on middle picks, select guys with specific attributes for specific roles and upgrade depth.
And when you see what they did, they hit the nail on the head (at least that was the obvious intent.... how it all shakes out is another matter).
They needed a serious change of pace back who can do it all and score from anywhere on the field on 1 play. Henderson. Check.
They needed a better, tougher, press man CB as the 3rd CB. Long. Check.
They needed a better run stopping NT that relishes stopping the run first, and that isn't just a big blob, but can also move around. Gaines. Check.
They needed a do-it-all Safety for their Big Dime package. Rapp. Check.
They needed to develop Oline depth. Check.
Not everyone will work out, probably. But I haven't heard anyone suggest that any of these picks were simply bad choices or didn't fit the system.
