we also know that fisher was fired and snead retained which suggests that demoff felt that snead was pulling his weight in terms of acquiring talent but fisher was not turning that talent into wins. as a witness to the consensus process, perhaps demoff felt snead was a better elevator of talent? i dont obviously know any of this to be true, but it seems like a plausible possibility given the the events that followed.
