I'm not really a big fan of retiring numbers either... And I would be on the fence with a few that they have retired. But we're talking about one of the greatest stories in sports... and it's the Rams that it happened with. So its dumbfounding to me.
As far as retiring numbers, I think that should be more of a symbolic gesture. It's just that the number belongs to the "retiree" lol... So if a QB was wearing 13 he would be wearing Warner's number. I don't know. Much ado about a mole hill. IMO
