My perception is that this is a new age for the Los Angeles Rams. For the first time in many years, our ownership and front office seem in sync with the coaching staff and players, and the results are showing on the field. Certainly no organization is perfect, but I honestly can't remember such a string of good decisions ranging from free agent pick ups, clever moves in the draft, and even the little things like staying on the east coast for a few days instead of traveling across the country twice during the regular season.
I feel that finally retiring the number of the player that was a 2 time MVP, Superbowl champion, and is now in the Hall of Fame is just the right thing to do. Regardless of how he left the team and what he did elsewhere, Kurt is OURS. His fairy tale story began with us and he will always be key part of our greatest success. Personally, seeing his number hanging from the new roof in Inglewood when we open in 2020 would show the respect that one of our finest players, on and off the field, deserves.
