I give him at least a slim chance. Geez, it’s not as if Blythe looked like a Pro Bowler late last year. He looked like a tie with Sully for weakest link.
And McVay/Kromer know full well that opponents are gonna attack Blythe as the Patriots did in the SB. And that that will continue until Blythe proves that not only he can handle it, but that he is no longer the weakest link on the OL.
I am certain that every possible player will get a good look at RG right up until opening day. If just one stands out? Then Blythe has his hands full trying to cling to that starting position. And that is exactly how it should be. The law of the jungle must prevail in Kromer’s selection process.
