First no one "guarantees" these things. That's just strawman phrasing.
AND THERE ARE LEGIT REASONS TO BE OPTIMISTIC.
Why? Kromer. With Chicago and Buffalo before the Rams his hit rate on picking OL was 100%. And that includes a 1st rounder, a 3rd rounder, a 5th rounder, and a 7th rounder. All starters.
PLUS Kromer not only picks them he coaches them. He has a long, very distinguished record developing starting linemen.
So yes there's reasons to be optimistic, which is all that's happening in the discussion---people are optimistic, and with good reason.
Nothing wrong with that. Nothing to laugh at there.
