Los Angeles Rams
1 31 G/C Erik McCoy, Texas A&M
3 94 RB Darrell Henderson, Memphis
3 99 ILB Vosean Joseph, Florida
4 133 CB Jamel Dean, Auburn
5 169 to Pittsburgh
6 192 NT Dontavius Russell, Auburn from PIT*
6 203 OT Martez Ivey, Florida
6 207 OLB Wyatt Ray, Boston College from PIT*
7 251 OLB Malik Reed, Nevada

McCoy is a nice draft pick for a few reasons. He is a G/C in a zone scheme, as where Bradbury is a C only. So you get some position flexibility. For those that are worried about Bradbury's play strength or anchor, McCoy has a much stronger anchor. He loses some movement compared to Bradbury for that, but not enough to be any concern whatsoever. Lastly, I have seen McCoy ranked higher then Bradbury by some so I could see him at 31 easily.

Henderson is a perfect fit in a outside zone scheme where he can get outside in space and use that speed and elusiveness to do damage. THe 3rd round is right on the money for him and I wouldn't be shocked if he went in the 2nd. The only issue I would have is, do the Rams need a RB in the 3rd round? I might be more inclined to grab a RB that slips into day 3 like Bryce Love or Bruce Anderson or Devine Ozigbo or Justice Hill.

Vosean Joseph is a WILL imo and his lack of size and instincts doesn't make much sense as an ILB in a 1 gap 34. But he could sit and learn and in the meantime be a ST demon. I would have gone a different route.

Dean is an interesting prospect. He played with a cast on his hand earlier i nthe season and competed hard. He doesn't play nearly as quick as his 4.3 time suggested, but he is a big, physical CB that would work well in a press man system if a team can improve his technique.

Russell is a nice run stuffer with a great motor that would work nicely beside Brockers and AD. The 6th round is good value for him. He won't offer much in the way of a pass rush, but he will fill his gap time and time again. Nice consolation if you like Lawrence.

Ivey I do not like at all. He is a sloppy footed LT that was outperformed by his RT and it wasn't even close. Mitch Hyatt or Ryan Bates (if he lasts this long) are much better fits IMO.

Wyatt Ray and Malik Reed would be HRs that make this draft really good. Ray was stuck behind Harold Landry so he is going to need to be developed, but he had 11.5 sacks in his lone year starting so the physical foundation is there. Reed was miscast as an off ball backer after being moved from DE. He really needs to find a home as an edge rusher for a 34. But he is a playmaker, even if he is not as long as your prototypical edge.

This draft fills a lot of holes and has some upside picks as well. Not too bad.
