Sacks are a bad indicator of pressure generated. Sacks vary alot year-to-year. Pressures are much more stable and predictive of a pass rusher's impact.
Samson had 32 pressures in 300 and some pass rushes. A ten percent rate which is definitely solidly in the good area. For contrast, Donald is at 18% of pass rushes generate a pressure. Dee Ford who led Edge rusher's in pressures earned a 13.85% rate.
I'm a fan of Samson's game. The weight room and maturing should increase his functional strength. He's a breakout candidate for me.
