It will be interesting. If it were me...
- Donald and Gurley would never play in a preseason game again.
- Goff needs to play about 6-8 series over the 2nd and 3rd games.
- Young OL like Noteboom and Allen need to play extensively in weeks 1-3.
- Kupp should be kept out of preseason- and maybe weeks 1 and 2 of the regular season depending on how things progress
- Talib and Peters could use some work in games 2 and 3.
- I would give Matthews some work at ILB and OLB in games 2 and 3 simply to acclimate to the system
I do agree that overall joint practices do as much for player development as the preseason games. Maybe more. I think the NFL would be better off with 2 preseason games and the other two games converted to two days each of joint practices/controlled scrimmages with different opponents.
