The source in this case is reliable because the "story"(hard to really call it that) is how he gets along with certain people. If you can't accept someone's word about how they personally feel as a valid source then there's really no point in even asking.
Many seem all too willing to believe the gossip and far too reticent to consider the one's involved.
See I thought the premise was more than he doesn't get along with certain people. I thought the central premise was that he had such a cancerous relationship with the HC that it cost the team titles.
The questions are: was their relationship cancerous as sources close to the situation say and did that cancerous relationship cause the team's downfall?
More people can speak on that issue than merely the two people in the bad relationship. It's much more than how they personally felt about each other.
If I have a prolonged fight with my wife and my children testify to that in detail, that is good evidence no matter what she or I say.
