Now I realize the talent, but I wanted Wentz, so there is that and the Super Bowl was not on him, but it was. I believe Goff will be much like Phil Simms was with the New York Giants, my Father never really liked Simms, but when he was gone, he liked him. I hope Goff continues to rise and get better every year, but I guess until the Rams are holding the Lombardi, I will continue to downplay his accolades and every time he fumbles remember he has small hands. Totally unfair.
I grew up in New Jersey as a Ram fan but I watched a lot of Phil Simms and I don't really think they are alike at all. Phil and the Giants were successful but he never really stood out as a talent on the offense. Goff has some spectacular games and looks like he is potentially a dynamic talent. He is already one of the top QB in the league where Phil Simms wasn't much better than his backup Hostetler.
I do think Goff has a lot of room to improve especially finding the open receiver when he is under pressure. While I think he is already better than Simms ever was I will be disappointed in him if he does not continue to mature and improve. I can't wait to see how he does next year.
