I mean if they turn into great players, then awesome...but so far just the strategy doesn't seem so genius. I personally don't think Cooks was a good move...M Peters was a bust for most the season, Fowler was expensive and now signed to a 1 year deal? Kupp was a great pick, and woods a terrific signing, but I don't know...everett has been meh, notebook is a question mark, Allen looks small, kiser was JAG, Obo year was ruined by injury....so we have a bunch of questions....nothing that makes me think we are brilliant.
now if notebook and Allen thrive in their new roles, and obo turns into a star, then yep, Snead & McCoy deserve all the credit in the world.
go rams.
I probably have a higher opinion than you on Cooks, but the thrust of your comment is right on. Nothing strategically brilliant about drafting to current and anticipated need. As 43 himself notes, that's what all teams do. It's what the draft is for. All we can say is that few of these recent draftees have shown so poorly that they've been released already, but that's pretty faint praise.
We'll see what we see.
