combined with a FO that meshes well and knows how to augment the team with new talent....
makes me think we CAN draft from mid to late round players that have a higher chance of contributing than normal.
Passionate, smart, dedicated football players who may have limited athletic ability(Kupp,etc) are a dime a dozen in the mid-rounds...and that's why I advocate trading down - sometimes - and adding more mid round picks....cuz I think our staff can get more out of them. While also, uncovering some real diamonds. Obo is my biggest question mark this year and the player I wanna see more than anyone else...his college tape was so intriguing to me, especially for where we ultimately picked him(5th round).
TrevonYoung, Travin Howard are also curious players to me, not to mention JFM, JSDay...the little film of those guys is interesting. Hell, even Lawler with all his physical limitations got some playing time every game last year...on STs.
Last year was a better draft than I think we thought....unless they cut all those guys this year, then forget this entire post and I'll go to my room!!!! lol
