I suppose he could demand more but then again, veteran players will often lower their money demands in exchange for getting to play where they like their chances of winning best. Suh did that last year.
But EVERYONE cashes in on their big second contracts. Brady did. Heck when he signed his 3rd contract in 2010 he was at that point the highest paid player in the league.
The "generosity" thing comes later, when as I said veterans will trade some bucks for the chance to play where they want to play.
