So, I think these two vets - Weddle & Mathews - reduces the miscommunication to a huge extent. I'd draft these guys replacements this year and "learn them good" under Weddle/Mathews/Whit....these guys are so valuable in being role models for young players. I suspect that's exactly what the Rams FO will do this draft + UDFA.
