After a quick review the lack of depth on the DL seem quite big. Brockers being able to play all the positions helps some but it should be a priority on draft day. OL has a bunch of unknowns as depth and 2 new starters so that seems like a big issue too. I don't really see any other positions that are a must have for 2019 so I suspect that the other picks will be focused on 2020 like CB.
I think the would like 2 DL and 2 OL and a CB or 2 and a TE. To get all of that they will need to trade down and get some extra picks. Anyway these are my initial thoughts after all the Free Agency smoke has cleared.
You don’t see at least one edge as a “must have”, Deacon?
Fowler is on a 1 year contract on one side and Matthews is only a 1-2 year rental for the other side, at best. And that’s if he isn’t playing ILB.
Frankly, I see edge as a screaming need in this draft. Otherwise, it’s not even adequate on one side for even ‘19, much less for ‘20 and beyond.
What I’m seeing in these offseason moves is the patching of holes for the very short term with the hope of drafting long term starters for ‘20 and beyond.
