You’re missing context my friend. They’re not saying he was a special player or had a special season relative to the rest of the league.
They’re comparing his 2nd season to his rookie year. Hence why they’re showing us his rating increases. He made a gigantic leap in improvement across the board.
IMO, his improvement was dramatic enough that, not only does he buy another year for them to roll with the TE’s they have, but I suspect he and Higbee will switch roles with Everett being TE1.
