he can and does talk to him up to 15 seconds. It is what it is. We scored 3 points..I don't care about knocking passes away. It wasn't just that. Look at our total yards in the game. We were doing squat.
When did we seem to move the ball...hurry up...yet...McVay wouldn't stick with it.
As I've mentioned before, McVay needs to start letting Goff take over the game more often. If McVay is that big of a QB guru, and I believe he is, it should rub off on a smart QB to a point where they can be making these reads on the field.
You are for some reason assuming that Goff CAN'T make those pre-snap reads without McVay. Not sure why you do that. And you keep being reminded of this but don't seem to account for it, ie. this is not the only team where the coordinator or coach-coordinator says stuff to the qb before the 15 second mark. At one point I directly quoted McDaniels talking about how he did that with Brady. So on this one issue, you seem to have a bit of tunnel vision. Also, setting
pre-snap reads aside, it's certainly the case that no qb throws for 3600 yards, 32 TDs, with only 12 INTs unless he can make
post-snap reads at a pretty proficient level.
It is true that McVay, Goff, and the OL and the receivers all struggled in that game. A lot happened in that game--among other things the Patz figured out the Rams run game too. So there's a lot to discuss. Personally, then, I am wary of any theory which reduces it all to one or two simple things.
